My spurs are still jingling over this interview on Horse Radio Network. I so enjoyed talking about horses, my book & its EQUUS Film Festival literary award win for best Western Fiction with the Horses in the Morning crew. Happy Listening!
In this ninth spotlight edition, I talk with Tobi Lopez Taylor. She's a fellow equestrian author and American Horse Publications member. We discuss the best topics on earth ... writing, books and horses! In the interview, you'll learn about Tobi's favorite horse breed (Arabians), why she thinks good editing is worth the cost, and her views on traditional publishing vs. self-publishing. (P.S. she's done both.) Happy reading!
I am so honored to be the recipient of two Silver Medals for my equestrian fiction book, In The Reins, from the Feathered Quill Annual Writer’s Contest!
My goal was to write a story with an honest depiction of the human-horse bond while at the same time giving readers the experience of falling in love with the characters of my book. Winning Feathered Quill Awards in both the ‘Romance’ and the ‘Adult Fiction featuring Animals’ categories really validates that I’ve accomplished that with the book. Equestrian reviewers have unanimously praised the novel: Nothing jingles my spurs more than a good romance about horses involving a handsome leading man especially if he's a swoon-worthy cowboy! So since we are in the month of love, I thought I'd share six of my favorite works of fiction. These horse books for adults offer up a good dose of cowboy romance and plenty of horsey co-stars. Saddle up for some romantic reads you'll want to rope this Valentine's Day!
