For the final post in my three part series on equine photography and equine photo shoots, I thought I'd get a little silly! The truth is photo shoots with horses aren't always glamorous so I'm sharing some funny shots from my photo sessions with Melanie Elise Photography. Melanie always makes me laugh and as you will see my horse, Sissy, can be a little silly too. I hope this post gives you a giggle and makes your spurs jingle. There's even an opportunity for you to caption a few. Enjoy!
I am one happy cowgirl. My recent desert equine photo session with Melanie Elise Photography completely captured the immense love I feel for my horse and the passion I have for the Western lifestyle. Now comes the tough part ... choosing which photograph to use for my author biography page in the upcoming sequel to my book for horse lovers, In The Reins.
Readers - Would you help me choose? You've found the perfect equestrian photographer and you've booked a photo session for you and your horse! You are excited (finally you'll have those perfect pictures of your partnership!) and terrified (Oh no! What if they don't turn out well?) so what do you do? Don't worry! In this post, I'll share tips and tactics for you and your horse as you prepare for your own equine photo shoot!
In this eighth spotlight edition, I talk with fellow equestrian fiction author Laura Wolfe. We discuss the best topics on earth ... writing, books and horses! I just know riders and writers alike will love the message behind her favorite motivational quote. Are you thinking about publishing your own piece of equestrian fiction? You'll glean insight from Laura as she shares the advice she'd give herself if she could go back in time before publishing her first book. I love that she jots her ideas on napkins! I do that too ... smile. Happy reading!
Happy New Year! I couldn't think of a better way to ring in 2017 than by partnering with the Arizona Paint Horse Club for their Copper Country Paint-O-Rama Horse Show at Westworld in Scottsdale, Arizona. I donated signed books as an Arizona Equine Author (and Paint Horse lover) for giveaway in the western riding classes and I made an appearance to chat with and sign copies of the EQUUS Film Festival award winner for Best Western Fiction and Amazon Equestrian Bestseller, In The Reins, right at the show! It was so much fun. I made a little video recap of this New Year's Day book signing during the horse show. Happy Viewing!
