My 2021 goal has been to ride more and worry less. It's been even easier to get my riding time in because something really exciting happened! Even though I love my other truck and it took us safely from Michigan to Texas to Arizona, it was finally time for an upgrade. This year, I got my first BIG GIRL DREAM TRUCK. In this post, I'm sharing a video of the big day we brought our new truck home. I can't wait to share it with you. Can you hear my spurs jingling? So this happened! Meet my new truck. It's hard to believe that Sissy has been home with me for two years now! In that time, we've added Tanner to our herd, I've joined a local saddle club, and we got a new truck. For the first time in my horse owning life, I have two horses in my own backyard, and I can trailer our whole furry family out anywhere we want to go. I'm going to miss my first truck. I'm grateful for all the memories I have had with it. It was the first truck I pulled my trailer with. It took me to horse shows and across the country safely. I will make sure it finds a good home because now it is time to make new memories with our new truck. I can't wait to see where it will take us and the horses! Flashback: Our Old Truck Moves Us to ArizonaIt's hard to believe that six years ago, my husband and I made our second cross-country road trip with my beloved horse in tow. I can still remember the day we left Houston like it was yesterday. To celebrate our new truck and in saying goodbye to our old one, I'm sharing my hubby's guest blog post in honor of our journey. Here's our crazy adventure from his point of view. Enjoy! Here's the video of the day Sissy came home!I've never been so happy. Sometimes I still can't believe all of this is real. Since I became Sissy's horse mom 15 years ago, we have been on quite a journey together from Michigan, to Texas, and to Arizona, which is now our forever home. Here's Tanner's Story!Tanner fits into our herd really well. She and Sissy have become friends. I've been learning more about Tanner everyday, and she's really coming along under saddle. I can't wait for all the new adventures we'll have with the horses now that we have a truck that can climb the mountains here in Arizona! I am so grateful to look out my window and see my girls in my backyard. The inspiration for my horse books comes from time spent at the barn, and now that barn is at home. I am one lucky cowgirl. There is so much to be thankful for! Another dream has come true.
