Back in the Saddle: American Horse Publications Conference 2021 (Video Recap)

My spurs are still jingling from the American Horse Publications (AHP) Conference in Texas! Over the course of three days, I visited the Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, rode a Longhorn at the Fort Worth Stock Yards, found a HUGE fork, and spent time learning from and networking with incredible equine creatives! It was a joy to be back in the saddle attending this conference in person. Here's a recap from the event featuring a mini-movie of my adventures.

American Horse Publications has held an annual conference for its members since the 70's. The three-day equine media event is jam-packed with awesomeness. Go behind the scenes of this year's event with me!

A BIG THANK YOU to AHP and sponsors for this wonderful in-person event after a difficult year! The Annual American Horse Publications Equine Media Seminar happened in Fort Worth, Texas. It was so exciting to spend time with my equine friends (in person) for the first time in almost 2 years!

I co-presented a session for equine authors!

It was such an honor to co-host a session on a professional author presence with Heather Wallace of The Timid Rider. We had a terrific turnout. Look at all the horse book authors at this year’s conference! I love it when #authorsunite.

I visited the Fort Worth Stock Yards.

After visiting the Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, we galloped over to the Fort Worth Stockyards. I watched the daily cattle drive and rode a Longhorn. It was the perfect place for a cowgirl to go shopping. I bought a new cowgirl hat at the King Ranch store and loved visiting the American Paint Horse Association store in Mule Alley.

Meeting readers always makes my spurs jingle!

I loved meeting In the Reins series readers during the AHP Conference. It was fun to chat with and sign books for readers. I had copies of In The Reins, Cowboy Away, Show Pen Promise, and Beyond Eight Seconds available in Texas. I loved that some readers brought their own copy for a signature!
