It's not always easy to love an equestrian (or an author for that matter), but my horse hubby does an amazing job, so rather than buy him the T-shirt below for Valentine's Day, I'm celebrating him with a blog post this month instead! 1. My hubby would proudly wear this T-shirt.I saw this T-shirt advertised on ViralStyle.com, and it pretty much says it all! How many of my horse loving peeps think this would make a perfect gift for your significant other? I celebrate my hubby because it takes a special person to respect a cowgirl's barn time and possibly wear this T-shirt anywhere other than the barn! 2. He loves horses because I do.I celebrate my hubby (turned cowboy) for taking on my horse loving life & learning to ride! There's nothing better in the world than watching my girl bond with my guy. Here he is taking Sissy for a whirl. This is the best sort of Saturday night! Swoon. 3. He's a great horse show hand.I celebrate my hubby (turned horse show hand) for carrying all those loads of tack, buckets and grooming products for our horse! Thanks to Melanie Elise Photography for taking this stealth photo of my cowboy helper. 4. He's so strong!I celebrate my hubby because he's so STRONG! I swooned when he moved this thing out of my way so we could get the trailer out to go to the horse show. Holy round bale. LOL. 5. Did I mention he's a great horse show helper?I celebrate my hubby for holding down our fort (if only he knew how to hook up my trailer!), looking after our canine companions and helping out his cowgirl at horse shows! 6. He took me on a cowgirl getaway to Jackson Hole!I celebrate my hubby for taking me on the cowgirl adventure of my dreams to Jackson Hole, Wyoming! Read all about our adventures in my guest blog post for Whiskey Tales, a Western Lifestyle blog. Click the link below to read it! 7. He likes to watch bull riding, too!I celebrate my hubby because he knows that being a Professional Bull Riding fan inspired my writing when I was creating the bull riding heartthrob with swagger from In the Reins, JD McCall, so he surprised me with tickets to the PBR Built Ford Tough Tour when it came to our neck of the woods. I had so much fun getting my cowgirl on with my cowboy that day. Here's a little video of us having a BUCKing great time at the event! 8. He wrote a guest post for my blog!I celebrate my horse hubby for always supporting my life as an author (and business woman) and for penning an awesome guest blog post about our relocation to Arizona a few years ago called "Our Family's Journey to Arizona". 9. He sends me selfies with Sissy.I celebrate my horse hubby because when I am away on business travel he goes to the barn to check on Sissy and sends me selfies of their time together. Melt my cowgirl heart! 10. I get to live a real cowboy romance everyday.I celebrate my hubby because without his words of encouragement and endless support, I am not sure my books, In the Reins and Cowboy Away, would have ever seen the light of day. His encouragement jump-started me every time I felt stopped. Thank you to my horse husband/cowboy for being a great partner in life! My hubby has given me the best gifts an author could ask for so I thought I would recount them in a blog post to help other people with writers in their lives gain some insight on what those best gifts are! Click the link below for 5 from-the-heart gifts you can give the author in your life on their birthday, a holiday (like Valentine's Day) or merely a simple day! Happy Valentine's Day to my Horse Hubby!Writing and horseback riding are solitary phenomenons. A rider needs time to bond with her horse and writer needs time to let the words flow. I appreciate my hubby for giving me the gift of time for my passions. If not for my husband, my accomplishments as an author would have been much more difficult to achieve. Thanks for dating and then marrying me, mister. Our cowboy romance certainly makes my spurs jingle! Yeehaw. Available Now in Paperback & eBookComments are closed.
