You've probably guessed by now that I have a thing for Scott Eastwood who worked with the Professional Bull Riders while filming The Longest Ride. The PBR Built Ford Tough Tour is coming to my neck of the woods (I can't wait!) which inspired me to put together this fun little post featuring my favorite bull riding cowboy. So here's 8 GIFs about him from his starring role in The Longest Ride guaranteed to transport you to cowboy heaven!
1. Scott Eastwood is delicious cowboy eye candy
Scott Eastwood is cowboy perfection in this romantic drama based on Nicholas Sparks' bestselling book. The story centers on a young couple who make a fateful connection that changes their lives forever. Eastwood is pure cowboy eye candy in this role!
2. You'll learn a thing or two about bull riding
This film actually got those details right by partnering up with the Professional Bull Riders a.k.a. the PBR! These bull riders face the rankest bulls in the business. Eastwood is no slouch either as the teacher when he recounts the trials and tribulations that a bull rider faces in those 8 seconds on the back of a raging beast to his on-screen love interest.
3. You're a cowgirl & love cowboy romance movies
There hasn't been a good cowboy romance movie in a while. I think this one will do until they make the film version of In The Reins ... LOL. Watch out Scott 'cause McKennon could give you a run for the money!
4. Somewhere deep inside we all want a cowboy
You'll get a giggle as you watch this handsome cowboy stroll across a college campus armed with flowers for a first date sending the sorority house hearts a flutter! Loved Luke in The Longest Ride? Want a cowboy? Try McKennon Kelly! Meet him in his intro video: McKennon Kelly & his good hands. Swoon!
5. Have I mentioned yet that Eastwood's shirtless?
Need I say more? Is it getting hot in here? Yes ... yes, it is! And ... that napkin please!
6. Cowgirl in training? You'll get tips!
Just like cowboy McKennon Kelly gives Devon Brooke lessons in horses, life and falling in love in the cowboy romance novel, In The Reins, Scott Eastwood (as Luke) shows his on-screen muse, Sophia, a thing or two in the same department.
7. He rides horses! He rides horses!
Did I mention Scott Eastwood rides horses in the flick ... and rides them well? No bouncing around in the saddle like he just got stuck up there for an action scene. Looks to me like this cowboy can ride. And ... that makes my spurs jingle!
8. Life is a bull ride! Best be takin' it by the horns
Being a PBR fan inspired my writing when I was creating the bull riding heartthrob with swagger from In The Reins! Here's his intro video: Meet JD McCall. Want to read about more bull riding hotties? Take the bull by the horns and check out this article from People Magazine called Professional Bull Riders: Who is the Sexiest Cowboy Alive?
So there you have it 8 reasons to get to watching Scott Eastwood as the bull riding babe, Luke Collins, in The Longest Ride asap! Flip on HBO where the cowboy romance is showing on demand or gallop over to your nearest Redbox and snag it for a buck! Yeehaw!
