Meet my SISTERS! My lovely siblings hosted an In the Reins series book party for me in Washington D.C.! Here's a spur jingling video recap of the event featuring their TOP tips for book party success. If you have an author in your life make them feel loved by hosting a book party!
Tip One: The Food
My sisters made the book party complete with a Western-themed menu! We enjoyed a cowgirlious chili bar, mac and cheese, guacamole, cornbread and more. Yum!
Tip Two: The Drinks
The Kade sisters served up soda, sparking water and juice for guests who preferred a non-alcoholic beverage. For those who decided to partake in cocktails, they had plenty of wine and a speciality drink called a Moscow Mule available.
Tip Three: Have the Book & Author in House
It was so fun to show the In the Reins book trailer, read chapters from my book, answer questions about my author journey and sign copies for book party guests.
Tip Four: The Email Invite
This email invite gave me a giggle! I never thought that an equestrian romance would require so much explanation.
Tip Five: Entertain the Kiddies
The Western-themed cookie cutters for the kiddies didn’t arrive in time so they improvised. Enter Cowboy McKennon Kelly’s T-shirt!
Tip Six: Bring the Swag
I brought stickers, T-shirts, media and press kits to share with the book party guests.
