I've got the FALL feels. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year — I love the cooler temps, wearing cozy sweatshirts out to the barn, long lazy horseback rides, and curling up with a good show or a great book on chilly days! So, I wanted to share a little round up of my horsey FALL Western show favs that you can stream right now from the comfort of your couch! The Cowboy WayIt's the perfect time for a little weekend binge watching. I've recently discovered The Cowboy Way Alabama on Amazon Prime. Binge Bonus: There are FIVE seasons. I love this show because it offers an honest look at the cowboy way of life. In this INSP original series, three modern-day Alabama cowboys live by a code as important to them as it was to those who tamed the west. The Last CowboyThe Last Cowboy is a docu-series on the Paramount Network. It is a really cool glimpse into the world of reining, and it's from “Yellowstone” co-creator Taylor Sheridan. The series follows riders competing for a prize of $1 million. HeartlandThis TV series, based on the books by Lauren Brooke, is multi-generational saga set on a ranch in Alberta, Canada. It centers on a family getting through life together in both happy and trying times. It will make you smile, it will make you cry, but most importantly the show gets the horse stuff right. The best news is Netflix has season one through thirteen, and it's family friendly, so you can binge watch like crazy even with your horse crazy kids. YellowstoneSeason four is coming this fall! Yellowstone is a drama series that follows the Dutton family, led by patriarch John Dutton. The Duttons control the largest contiguous ranch in the U.S. and must contend with constant attacks by land developers, clashes with an Indian reservation and conflict with America's first national park. How to Be a CowboyThis is a quirky new original series from Netflix. Dale Brisby and his crew of cowboys aim to teach viewers about being a cowboy on his Radiator Ranch in Texas. Brisby coaches an up and coming saddle bronc rider and a female bull rider! What interested me most about this series were the special appearances from well-respected cowboys, including PBR World Champion JB Mauney, who joined the show to give additional advice to the ranch interns. Heartland Country Cowboy CultureWant to learn about how saddles, hats, spurs or boots are made? I've got the perfect show for you. I've recently discovered Heartland Country Cowboy Culture on Amazon Prime. It's a half-hour documentary series that journey's into the heartland of the West through profiles on people and places that live the cowboy way. The series features artists, horsemen and women, artisans, and more. There are three seasons, so it's a perfect little binge watch.
