I've been having a blast horsing around with the equestrian community from #HorseBloggers. They have really fun challenges for horse bloggers to get involved in. This month's challenge is about photography and the power of using a hashtag to promote blog posts. The challenge asks us to choose one day in February and take five photos from that day to reflect a typical day in our life using the hashtag #5photos1day. I decided what better day than Valentine's Day to complete the challenge. Here are my five photos from one day highlighting things I love.
It's not always easy to love an equestrian (or an author for that matter), but my horse hubby does an amazing job, so rather than buy him the T-shirt below for Valentine's Day, I'm celebrating him with a blog post this month instead!
Looking for a horse book to fall in love with? Look no further! Here's twenty spur jingling equine authors to choose from. I'm celebrating the second ten authors featured in my Equestrian Author Spotlight series with a recap post.
When I was getting ready to publish my first horse book, In the Reins, I was in search of the right photographer who could capture the perfect author photo for the "About the Author" pages in my novels. It was very important to me to work with a local photographer who knew horses as well as the Arizona landscape. Every author needs a good bio photo, and I knew that mine had to include my horse, Sissy, because she was the inspiration for the lead horse in my horse book series. After some research, I contacted Melanie Elise Photography to schedule a photo session. And the rest is history!
In this twentieth Equestrian Author Spotlight, I talk with fellow equine author and cowgirl, Carole T. Beers. Of course, we discuss the best topics on earth — writing, books and horses! Your spurs will jingle over Carole's advice for fellow authors, and you'll learn why she loves being an author and a horse owner. Happy reading!

Happy New Year! I couldn't think of a better way to ring in 2018 than by partnering with the Arizona Paint Horse Club for the second year in a row at their Copper Country Paint-O-Rama. Horse shows just like this one (hosted at the fabulous Westworld in Scottsdale, Arizona) always find their way into the pages of my horse books so I made this fun little video while I was at the show. I wanted readers to have a glimpse of my horse world.
